We are a family owned and operated business located in Flagstaff, AZ since 1979. Many of our first projects were installing 30 watt solar panels on hogans on the Navajo reservation, where the nearest power line was often 50+ miles away, along with the nearest paved road. Northern Arizona University is home to Arizonas Wind for Schools Project. This project, supported by the United States Department of Energy, allows states to support K-12 schools and community colleges in the process of installing small wind turbines and implementing wind energy curriculum. To learn more about the Wind for Schools Program and its nationwide impact, visit their interactive website.
Wind for Schools provides support to rural schools for the installation of anemometer equipment or small wind turbines. Wind for Schools staff members help school districts through the process of permitting and installing this equipment at selected schools, and provide ongoing technical support for the installations. Check out the data given directly from the small wind turbines provided by the Wind for Schoolss portal, OpenEI.
The Arizona Wind for Schools project is supported by a federal grant from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Since 2010, the program has had many accomplishments, including the installation of wind turbines! Most products listed on our website are readily available. If they are not, we will try to post a statement regarding the lead time and point you to a similar item that is in stock. When in doubt, call, email or chat us to check on availability.
Payment
We accept all major credit cards and PayPal, as well as wire transfers. Check or money orders are also accepted. There is a 10 business day hold on checks to verify funds before we ship your order. Please include your quote or invoice number with your check and mail to the address below.
